Junior golf clothing overview
When I was a kid, things were a little more laid back in the clothing department.
Social media wasn’t the huge driver in golf fashion that it is today. You didn’t get viral videos like the one of Charlie Woods making an eagle in his Nike Victory polo that matches his dad’s.
But times change, and kids are the future of golf.
If your child wants to feel cool out on the golf course that can only be a good thing. In my opinion, we should be giving kids as much encouragement as we can to get out on the course and play golf.

- Top brands for kids golf clothing
Let’s kick off the article by looking at a few of the best brands out there that make kid’s clothes for golf.
1. Nike
Nike are probably the number one sports brand in the world. So it's no surprise that they produce some of the best golf clothing out there. Their sponsorship of the best players in the world also makes them a hugely sought-after brand, especially amongst kids. I for one know that growing up everyone wanted to be like Tiger Woods, no one else comes close to the big cat. Tiger's red Nike Victory polo is a piece of golf royalty, and any kid that loves Tiger would love to play in one.

Puma are another huge sporting company that makes excellent golf clothing. Rickie Fowler is a popular golfer among kids, and a Puma ambassador known for his unconventional shirts. From shirts to the hat that Bryson Dechambeau rocks I think Puma is one of the coolest brands around.

Under Armour are one of my favorite companies and I know for a fact they've got an awesome clothing line for kids. I find the weatherproof clothes this company makes are amazing, from their jackets to their shoes. For anyone who has the luxury (yeah right) of living in a country with a varied climate, I'd recommend checking out their super warm sweatshirts. When a guy as nice as Jordan Spieth is an ambassador for the brand, you know you're in good hands.

Footjoy are known for making the number one shoe in golf and for good reason. They have an excellent range of footwear and offer a waterproof guarantee should anything happen to their shoes in the first year. I won't go on to name the athletes sponsored by Footjoy, we'd be here all day. It's safe to say they're loved among golfers of all ages and abilities.

Consideration for kids golfing apparel
Whether you’re a first-time buyer for your children or are buying as a gift for someone else’s kids, this section of the article will explore a few considerations you should make when buying kids golfing clothes.
Price
If you’re a golfer yourself, you’ll probably know that the clothing can be kinda expensive. You should consider which items of clothing are actually worth splashing out on. For example, it might be worthwhile spending a few extra bucks for a nice breathable hat, but an expensive branded belt isn’t so necessary. Sales can be a great way to grab yourself a deal. Make use of filters to refine products, or sort listings from low to high in order to save yourself some money. Remember, clothing for kids doesn’t always get that much use because they grow so quickly.
Size
Size can be difficult to master. If you’re buying online which is usually the main option for children’s golfing clothes, make sure you check out the company’s size guides. Sports clothing doesn’t always fit the same as regular clothes so by checking junior sizing guides you might stop yourself from getting the size wrong. A worthwhile tip is to always shop from companies that offer free shipping and free returns. This way you’re covered if you have any worries about having to make a return.
Color
It’s a good idea to base your purchases around your children’s favorite colors. Remember, kids haven’t been brainwashed by decades of product advertising the way we have. Even if you buy a product from a really good brand, chances are it’s a bad investment if they don’t like the color. Again, if you’re worried the item might need to be returned opt for a store with free delivery and free returns.
Protection
When you drop your kids off at the golf course for the day, it’s likely they’ll be spending all their time playing come rain or shine. That means they need clothing for all weather. You need to buy them clothes that can protect them from the sun, as well as clothing that keeps them warm and dry when it’s cold and wet. Try to build a versatile collection of clothes to keep your child protected whatever the weather.
Reputation
I think it’s important to read reviews from others so you can learn how they were treated as a customer. After all, you’re trusting these products to protect your kids out on the golf course, and buying new clothes can be expensive. Make sure you buy from a highly reviewed and well-trusted store and please – try to avoid any brands with poor reviews.
